WE ARE MIC ROCKERS

Tom Meighan is Kasabian’s lead singer. Wottee Watnot (Andrew Wattie) is an english rapper. Together, they are Mic Rockers.
Mic Rockers is a hip hop and rock collaboration, mixing Tom’s clear voice with Wottee’s flow: their first release is the self titled “Mic Rockers“, published online in November 2013.
Tom opens the track singing the chorus, introducing the project with a vocal somehow echoing atmospheres of  “Switchblade Smiles”, an electronic rock track included in Kasabian’s “Velociraptor” album. Then Wottee comes in with three rythmic rap verses.
The track is available in three different versions: “Original Demo“, “London (Paul Miles remix)” and “Deluxe“, and you can listen to all of them on the official website, Microckers.com.
I think this first track is quite interesting and I’d really love to hear something more: Mic Rockers have made their promise stating “more tunes will follow soon”… stay tuned!

Mic Rockers è una collaborazione tra hip hop e rock, che combina la voce pulita di Tom con il flow di Wottee: il primo singolo è l’omonima “Mic Rockers“, pubblicata nello scorso novembre.
Tom apre il pezzo con il ritornello, introducendo il progetto con un cantato che contiene qualche eco delle atmosfere di “Switchblade Smiles”, canzone dalle sonorità rock ed elettroniche, contenuta nell’album “Velociraptor”. Poi subentra Wottee con tre strofe rap incalzanti.
Il pezzo è disponibile in tre versioni: “Original Demo“, “London (Paul Miles remix)” e “Deluxe“, e tutte possono essere ascoltate sul sito ufficiale, Microckers.com.
Ho trovato questa prima track piuttosto interessante e mi piacerebbe davvero sentire qualcosa di più: i Mic Rockers hanno fatto una promessa in merito, dichiarando che “presto seguiranno nuovi pezzi”… stay tuned!
