GLASTONBURY… MUSIC HISTORY IN A FESTIVAL

Glastonbury 2013 ended with amazing performances and epic crowds. We could write a book on it, but what I’d really love to underlight here is the chronological thread of the Festival, going from the Stones, to Nick Cave’s 80ees and The Smashing Pumpkins’ 90ees, till today’s most important bands. This is a wonderful proof of how an astonishing line-up can be setted up, running through different genres, styles and temporal or sociological environments.

Si è conclusa anche l’edizione 2013 di Glastonbury, tra performance straordinarie e una folla epica. Ci si potrebbe scrivere un libro ma quello che vorrei sottolineare io è il filo cronologico che ha accompagnato il Festival, partendo dagli Stones, arrivando agli anni ’80 di Nick Cave e ai ’90 degli Smashing Pumpkins, fino alle band più importanti di oggi. Una meravigliosa prova di come si possa creare una line-up straordinaria spaziando tra generi, stili e contesti, anche temporali e sociologici, diversi e distanti.
